Inter Continental is a Dutch company which started selling chemical products in Russia, Poland, and former East Germany and Czechoslovakia in 1969. In 1983 coatings, cleaning materials and disinfectants were added to the range. In 1985 the company expanded its activities again to include slurry removal and processing systems for the livestock sector. Together with emission reducing systems for ammonia and fine dust this has become a major sphere of activity since the European launch of the IC-V+ ® system.

We were awarded the VIV Europe Gold Award for the IC-V+ ® system. Our system was characterised as an energy efficient, environmentally friendly housing system that also contributes to improving animal welfare. A logical result was the IC-W+ system with plastic slurry trays and the unique StevIC ® ventilation wall. This combination results in a 65% reduction in ammonia emissions.

In the animal husbandry sector, Inter Continental is the trend setter regarding fine dust particle reduction in animal houses, with two officially authorised admission numbers from the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (VROM). One for the IC-oilIC, a green oil misting system (Admission number: BWL2009.17) and one for the IC-ionIC EPI-system (Admission number: BWL2009.18) for fine dust reduction through corona point ionisation.

Slurry removal and slurry trays

Inter Continental has developed various innovative system in collaboration with the Swine Innovation Centre (VIC) Sterksel and WUR Wageningen.

The IC-Vacumest® System is a reliable, low-maintenance and easy to operate slurry removal system. In addition, our IC-V+® System has occupied a prominent position for many years in the intensive pig production sector. The system is recognised as an energy efficient, environmentally friendly housing system that also contributes to improving animal welfare and greatly reduces ammonia emissions. This system was also awarded the VIV Europe Gold Award. The system will help make your company future-proof.

Fine dust

Inter Continental, in cooperation with Baumgartner Environics Inc. and WUR Wageningen, has developed the IC-ionIC system to reduce fine dust in the air. The system causes the negative ions in the house air to collide with the many particles of dust present in the atmosphere. This negatively charges the dust particles so that they are attracted and collected by positively charged and earthed surfaces such as ceilings and walls or the specially mounted collector panels.

The IC-oilIC system was also developed by Inter Continental in collaboration with Wageningen UR. This system uses special nozzles to spray a film of oil into the room housing the animals. This vegetable-based oil causes the dust to stick to surfaces, and animal activity does not make the dust recirculate in the ambient air. Significantly, both IC-ionIC and IC-oilIC are not only exceptionally effective systems; they are also affordable solutions, with attractive purchase and running costs.

IncoPower

Alongside the systems for animal housing and slurry disposal, Inter Continental has also brought the IncoPower product line to the market. IncoPower is a collective term for our extensive line of high-quality coatings, cast floors and trowelled floors, with a comprehensive range of cleaning agents and disinfectants.
