IC-oil IC an effective way to reduce dust concentrations
Introducing a fine film of oil into a broiler house is a highly effective method of reducing dust concentrations in the house and lowering dust emissions. Special nozzles spray a film of oil into the room housing the animals for a period of 60 seconds once a day. This oil causes the dust to stick to surfaces, and animal activity does not make the dust recirculate in the ambient air. By spraying 10 to 15 ml IC-green oil per m2 of floor surface area per day, dust reductions of 54% were noted in broiler houses. IC-oilIC can work problem-free for an extremely long period without requiring any particular maintenance. Moreover, the system offers significant advantages compared with alternative systems that only remove dust from the outgoing air. The dust concentration in the house is also considerably reduced. An improvement for the animals and the people caring for them.

Greatly improved working environment
Introducing a film of oil also has a strong impact on dust concentrations in the house, and therefore on the working environment. The figure shown here illustrates the reduction in dust concentrations, depending on the amount of oil applied per m2 per day. The reduction in dust increases proportionally with the amount of oil used. It is remarkable that even with just a limited amount of oil (6 - 8 ml/m2) an almost 70% reduction in the degree of exposure to fine dust experienced by workers can be achieved.

IC-oilIC improves air quality with IC-green oil.
Dust concentrations in the animal husbandry sector have been an issue for many years, due to health and safety concerns for workers and from the perspective of animal health. This has been joined in recent years by fine dust emissions to the outside air, as the EU has tightened up the standards for the maximum concentration of fine dust in the outside air. Standards have been set for fine dust particles smaller than 10 micrometer (PM10) and very fine dust particles smaller than 2.5 micrometer (PM2.5). Poultry and pig house are responsible for the majority of fine dust in animal husbandry. The main sources of dust in poultry houses are feathers, dried manure, feed, litter and micro organisms/moulds.
IC-oilIC a very promising system whereby IC-green oil is sprayed into poultry house under high pressure. It considerably contributes to reducing fine dust.
The system is installed by an installer from Inter Continental BV so as to safeguard optimal functioning and sufficient earthing of the system.
